Chef Alli Winter
Culinary Instructor, Certified Personal Chef, Entrepreneur
Chef Alli’s passion for the Culinary Arts began very early in her life; though she didn’t realize it at the time, it was at around age six that the journey into her chosen profession began. Whether it was standing on a stool alongside her mother learning how to create Russian Tea Cakes or spending quality time with her grandmothers’ where her passion for creating culinary delights was encouraged and commended, her fondest childhood memories were created in the kitchen where she discovered that special bonds between family and friends were born, nurtured and maintained.
Chef Alli continued to cultivate her skills and passion as she attended and graduated from the United States Personal Chef Institute in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. As one of the founding instructors for Culinary Inspirations, a division of Kitchen Aid, Chef Alli spent extensive time in professional kitchens developing culinary curriculum that was later used by company instructors across the country.
Throughout her career, she has also developed several recipes for the public television’s “Great Chefs” series. These experiences brought a great deal of international influence into her culinary creations and she continues to seek ways to expand her knowledge and create new and innovative recipes.
In 2008, Chef Alli became the spokesperson for the Topeka Hy-Vee and introduced her Take and Bake Tonite entree line available exclusively at Hy-Vee. Customers love and appreicate the ease in preparing Chef Alli's Take and Bake entrees for their families. Chef Alli’s desire is to bring families back around their dinner tables and this is just what she is doing!
When asked to sum up her professional journey traveled to this point in time Chef Alli responds with: “My profession sprang up out of a love for food and family, this is what I enjoyed most in life and I really believe that others do as well; Let’s face it, get a group of people around a table full of great food and laughter and good times are bound to follow.”
