2012 CANNING  CLASS SERIES: 
CANNED CREATIONS
Join us at Hy-Vee for a five-part canning series, taught by KSU Faculty, Cindy Evans, Shawnee Co. Extension Agent, and Karen Blakeslee, KSU Food Science Institute.  From pie fillings to salsas and soups...there will be lots of tasting and tips for learning to safely can foods at home. 

 

The Treasure of Home Preserving:  Salsa, Cherry Pie Filling and Strawberry Jam
Saturday, June 9, 9:00 a.m. – Noon
$20 per student

This class offers a special incentive to begin canning: A drawing for a steam pressure canner!

 

Preserving the Tried and True:  Carrots, Green Beans, and Tomatoes
